Known for its high standards of teaching and education excellence in medical field, Russian State Medical University (RSMU) was established in 1906. It is one of the oldest Russian medical schools and has been a pioneer in developments in the field of medical science and education. With its high-capacity laboratory and clinical base, Russian State Medical University is research-based educational center.

With a strong and highly qualified faculty team, RSMU graduates about 7000 students from various countries wo get enrolled in its famous medical, biomedical and pediatric programs. International students have to undergo preparatory courses where the need to learn buiology, physics and chemistry along with Russian lannguage. All the graduate-level programs of the University offer internship opportunities.

RSMU conducts postgraduate courses in 51 medical branches with 2 interdisciplinar programs focusing on automation, computer systems, physics and matematics, 5 focusing on chemical scieces, 7 related to biological issues and factors related to medicine and 37 pure medical science programs. The University has as many as 58 well-eqipped science-research laboratories.

RSMU students can avail the library facility housing over 700 thousand volumes in Russian and foreign languages and can work on probation under the supervision of experienced and skilled instructors. The University has 70 specialized clinics, hospitals and medical establishments with over 19,000 beds and attracts overseas students in large numbers.
